Laura’s Challenge: Pretty Muddy

Hi ladies,

I am the designer for Gossard, a sister brand of Berlei, and I’m hear to talk about my Pretty Muddy challenge! When I was first asked to take part in this tough mudder race for life, it came at the perfect moment as Gossard had just joined forces with the charity Coppafeel (which aims to raise breast cancer awareness amongst the younger generation). How could I not get behind another brilliant charity such as Cancer Research, that also aims to fight the battle against cancer?

Motivation for training has not been too hard, as I am also trying to get in shape for my fast approaching wedding & honeymoon. So currently I am aiming to get to the gym 2 times a week for strength/weight training and 2 to 3 times a week for cardio training. Evenings have proven tricky sometimes with work commitments, so some days I find myself being forced to do a morning workout instead, crazy but also energising (most of the time).

With only 2 months to go until the race I can genuinely say I am so excited to be taking part in such a fun and meaningful race, for such an important charity. Today pretty much everyone (somehow) has been affected by cancer, as have I, so I will be running, crawling, climbing for my brilliant Nana Elsie who died of pancreatic cancer in 2008. She was my ultimate style icon.
